2024 Life Care Planning Award Recipients

The Foundation for Life Care Planning and Rehabilitation Research (FLCPRR), formerly known as the Foundation for Life Care Planning Research (FLCPR), continued its tradition of recognizing outstanding members of the life care planning and rehabilitation community during the annual awards ceremony at 30th Annual IALCP Symposium held in November 2024.

Originally established in 2002 by Dr. Paul Deutsch, the FLCPR operated for over 17 years as a non-profit research organization with its primary focus on the support of reliability and validation studies within life care planning specifically and rehabilitation generally. Over time, the Foundation’s scope broadened to include support for any well-developed research design within the field of rehabilitation that advances the field and/or makes a significant contribution to the population of individuals with a disability. In October 2019, under the direction of FLCPR President Dr. Debbie Berens, the Foundation entered into an agreement with IARP to join together to further the research mission within both the life care planning and rehabilitation communities, and the Foundation for Life Care Planning and Rehabilitation Research (FLCPRR) organization was begun.
